Our, Forestry Solutions Africa, consultants started working with The New Forests Company in 2009 developing an Integrated Management System for their forest and timber processing operations.  Over the next four years we continued to work closely in-country with their management and staff to ensure that they were able to grow their area under FSC® Forest Stewardship certification from two certified forest units to four certified units, they then continued on their own to certify a further management unit. We have also assisted their highly competent team in investing ways to reduce risk associated with purchasing of timber from small local growers.

We continue our close relationship where we remotely maintain their Integrated Management System, upgrading it where necessary and providing consultancy on an as and when needed basis.

We also maintain a strong shared passion for the promotion of responsible forest management that uplifts rural communities while providing employment far beyond the forests that benefits the countries in East Africa.  This shared passion sees us continue to engage in best practice solutions that drive our individual missions.
